Meet “Mick”

Michael Thyer is a commercial, theater, and feature film director, actor and writer, and has taught creative writing workshops in Los Angeles for the past 9 years. Mick has worked for Disney UK, A Band Apart, Funnyordie, and Beach Glass Films to name just a few.

He has worked in Europe, his homeland of Australia, and throughout America in a wide spectrum of theater and film projects.

In 2018, he directed his first feature film in Belgrade, Serbia, titled 48 Hours and One Minute, which is currently slated for distribution. His most recent acting work was in the psychological thriller, CHEAT, produced by 418 Films and distributed by Black Mandala, which premiered at FRIGHTFEST in London in August to many positive reviews, and his most recent directing work is presently on another thriller titled Return to Helltown in Cape Cod, MA.

Mick has also directed commercials for Healthy Young Minds, Joyryder and industrials for Loyola Marymount College in LA.

Mick continues to work as a writer, actor and director in the feature film and television industry, and teaches writing at various institutions around the US.
